I'm Just Crazy for Project Run and Play

I love participating in the Project Run and Play sew-along group! I'm constantly inviting my friends who sew to participate with me. I've been begging my sister-in-law Angie to do it with me for the last two seasons. I'm hoping one day she'll do it and find what I have found:  a phenomenal group of ladies who sew for people they love and an enormous amount of support and encouragement.

For my Project Run and Play favorites I've chosen to exclude anything made for little girls. I know you were all expecting to see me feature my Starry Night Dress (and well, I'm sort of talking about it now, and I'm not going to lie and say it's not totally my favorite thing ever). And even though I'll still be sewing a few more things for little girls (4 baby nieces coming in December!!!) I'm packing away all my little girl things and trying to focus more on sewing for boys.

So my favorite little boy outfit made for Project Run and Play?

Mack the Knife

I love everything about this outfit.
It cost me nothing to make, and I got a million compliments on it. Every week at church someone would tell me how cute he looked and ask where we bought his little suit.
Oh how I loved watching their faces when I told them I made it!
Mack was able to wear this (with shoes) to my best friend's wedding reception, and later on we added a fedora that we bought from The Children's Place (it's the one he's wearing in his Doctor Love outfit).
I cried when I had to put this away because he had outgrown it.
I'm so looking forward to having our second little boy wear this!

  1. Let me know when the next one starts! I'd love to do it. And it would force me to sew more.
