  2. beautiful stitching!! I can't imagine how many hours/days you invested in this. I hope you have a girl sooner rather than later so this doesn't have to hang in the closet too long!!

    1. I spent every spare moment of a week on it. Though I did go to a women's conference and was able to spend probably 6-10 uninterrupted hours on it during that.

  4. Absolutely gorgeous! The skirt is perfect. I cannot believe you made this without a specific girl in mind. I thought for sure there was a niece or something :)
And I love that adorable edging. I'm jealous of your new machine haha.

  8. The skirt on this dress is fabulous. I love how you used different colors and flowed them together. I may try this someday, as you have inspired me.

I think that's what Project Run and Play is all about...INSPIRATION and a place to share your inspiration. Thanks for sharing with us today.

  13. Wow... Just...wow. I love this piece, those brush strokes through the sky always enthralled me. Your embroidery work is simply a work of art in itself. I love that it's something you created with needle and thread, and that you don't think you could have done it on paper (although, I'm doubting your doubts...ha). I am so inspired by this....what a work of love.

    1. Haha. Thanks for the compliment, but I really have no talent for drawing. I'm so glad you saw the brush strokes! It wasn't intentional at first, but once I got started I tried to do it on purpose.

  25. Oh my goodness this is amazing! I want one in my size! I have always loved Starry Night, but now I can't even look at a Van Gogh without getting a little weepy after Vincent and the Doctor. The embroidery on that skirt turned out so perfectly. Everything about this dress is perfect!

    Cheers!
